We know Leonberger breed since September 1999. The nature of the Leonberger described in all books is very interesting.

It is not easy to find a kennel with quality dogs. But with the help of Internet and some phone call we discover Mrs Pauline Labrecque from Val Cartier. She explain to us that Leos are very popular and rare in North-America. She propose that if we can, the best will be to purchase one Leo in Europe from a good kennel with a good pedigree.

Our final choice was at "Toijol Farm" in Belgium, Mrs Gisèle Goffin kennel in Belgium.

A breeding was decided between Merak and Volga by everybody (Pauline Labrecque, Edith Steffen, Gisèle Goffin and us).

This is the beginning of our love story with the Leonberger.
